Counterparty News:

  • XCP has a higher price this week, at the time of recording XCP is trading at around 5.7 mBTC peaking at 6.1 mBTC earlier this week

  • On the counterpartytalk forums, there was a conversation about the ability to destroy XCP assets. If you try and send them to the very first XCP burn address, they will not send. Adam Krellenstien wieghed in on why you can't send XCP assets to 1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr:
  1. Yes, it is impossible to destroy the tokens in that way. The initial counterparty burn address is an invalid destination address to prevent accidental destruction of coins.

Asset of the Week:

  • The token of the week is Storj. Shawn Wilkinson the Founder and CEO talks about the development stage of Storj Labs.

Project News:

  • Coindaddy released a vending machine this week called Coinvend and they have two working examples of it, one being for GRUMPYCAT tokens. Coindaddy's vending machine does work across Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin blockchains. This is another service that you can use to sell your Counterparty token easily to the public. You can create your own vending machine for any token you have registered on Coindaddy. Just login at Coindaddy.io to start creating your own vending machines today.

  • GetGems announced their newest project 'œJulia'. Julia provides the ability for you to buy and sell Bitcoin on the GetGems mobile app by integrating your Coinbase account.

  • As a reminder, Spells of Genesis is running their BITCRYSTALS crowd sale this upcoming Wednesday on Swarm so mark your calendars.

Sponsors and Shout Outs:

  • This episode of the XCP Weekly Update is brought to you by Tokenly, an open source company building tools to make tokens more useful and usable to everyone. One of the great tools that Tokenly provides is Tend. Tend is useful for the merchant side of things when it comes to tokens. If you wish to sell a good or service, with Tend you can collect the information you wish from the buyer in a form, and then the buyer chooses which XCP token to pay in that you are accepting. You are emailed all the customers required information and your tokens will already be in your wallet. Tend is what the FoldingCoin Shop will be using for items up for sale. For more information visit letstalkbitcoin.com and click on the 'œToken Services' tab in the menu.
