Verifying Your Coinbase Account with Mastercard

You can now instantly buy bitcoin from Coinbase by adding a Mastercard credit card as a backup payment method. We previously only accepted Visa credit cards a backup payment method and today’s addition of Mastercard allows more consumers to instantly buy from Coinbase. To instantly buy you must also link a bank account. We hope to continue to improve this experience in the future.
